MY STORY

Empowering Every Learner Through Connection and Innovation

I believe that education is most effective when it is holistic, adaptive, and rooted in deep human connection. Currently, I serve as a Learning Support Teacher at a Montessori Elementary school, where I specialize in providing tailored, one-on-one guidance to a diverse range of students. My mission is to bridge the gap between psychological well-being and academic success, ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and capable.

A Foundation of Lifelong Learning

My journey is defined by a commitment to educational excellence and diverse expertise. I hold a BPsych and am a registered counselor (HPCSA), a background that allows me to bring essential emotional and developmental insights into the classroom. To further refine my craft in the specialized world of Montessori, I have completed my AMI training, and I hold an MBA to bring structured, strategic thinking to the educational environment. I am a firm believer in "walking the talk" of education, and I am currently continuing my advanced studies in the field to stay at the forefront of pedagogical best practices.

Professional Evolution

My career began with a foundation in a strong work ethic, learned early on through my parents' entrepreneurial ventures. These early lessons in people skills and resilience served me well as I navigated psychological fields and eventually found my true calling in education. Whether I was leading a classroom as an English Teacher at an international nursery or supporting students with complex learning needs, I have consistently applied my psychological expertise to foster student success.

Where Technology Meets Creativity

I pride ourselves on being a "tech-forward" educator. I am adept at seamlessly integrating technology into my lessons—even going as far as designing custom touch-screen games and interactive workshops to keep students engaged. I combine this with a newly appreciation for Montessori education, which is natural and grounded. Combining these into a special blend of creativity and fun!

I am also a proud enthusiast of music, video games, comic books, and all things "geeky." I’ve found that these creative interests are more than just hobbies; they are powerful tools for building authentic rapport with my students. By speaking their language and sharing their passions, I create a safe space where learning feels less like a task and more like an adventure.
